Living Life Project

This project aims to equip young adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and other special needs with the skills necessary to live as independently as possible.

When children in care reach 18, they age out of the system, often returning to the households from which they were removed or being placed in unfamiliar environments, perpetuating a cycle of instability. Young adults with FASD face lifelong disabilities of varying severity, which can be compounded as they transition into adulthood. They are particularly vulnerable to secondary disabilities, including legal challenges, mental health issues, difficulties with independent living, victimization, and higher unemployment rates.

Despite the serious challenges faced by these young people, there are limited support systems in place to help them navigate the transition to independence.

As an organization committed to breaking the cycles of abuse, addiction, and abandonment, we seek to bridge this gap for young adults transitioning into adulthood. We provide them with a sense of meaning and purpose through in-house career opportunities, social engagement, and guidance. Our mentorship program, along with a comprehensive resource known as a "Life Plan," empowers each individual to chart their path toward greater self-sufficiency.

Make a difference

Every neurodiverse young adult with deserves the chance to lead a life filled with dignity, purpose, and care. Yet, for many, the journey to adulthood comes with barriers that are impossible to overcome without support. At our care farm, we are committed to providing a safe, loving environment for these individuals, but we cannot do it alone. We need your help. By sponsoring a stipend for a neurodiverse young adult, you are not just making a donation—you are offering a lifeline.
